Principal
Nicole Gardner, M.Ed.
Email Nichole GardnerNichole Gardner serves as the Principal of the Coleman 6th-Grade Campus in Splendora ISD, a role she began in 2025. As a dedicated educator of Splendora ISD since 2009, she has held various positions focused on building positive relationships and creating meaningful learning experiences.
Gardner began her career in Splendora ISD at Greenleaf Elementary. There, she spent three years as a special education teacher and two years teaching fifth-grade reading. She then transitioned to Splendora Junior High, where she worked as a special education inclusion teacher, a behavior teacher, and a cheerleading coach. Prior to her promotion to principal, she served as Assistant Principal at Splendora Junior High for 2 years.
Gardner earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in 2007 and a Master's in Educational Administration from Lamar University in 2022. Outside of her professional life, she lives in the community with her husband, Grant Gardner, and their two sons, Gunner and Graham.
"I am excited to continue my journey as a servant leader and am committed to nurturing both student and staff growth. I believe in building an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, and I look forward to partnering with the school community to make the Sixth Grade Campus a place of excellence, innovation, and support for all," said Mrs. Gardner.

Megan Durtche, Ed.D

Email Megan DurtcheDr. Megan Durtche is an educator, wife, mama of two sweet little ones, and a servant of the community. On any given day, you can find her working with students and their families, supporting educators, running her kids to practice, or cooking delicious meals! A lover of the outdoors and native Alaskan, adventure is in her blood. Dr. Durtche has been involved in education for close to two decades, and she looks forward to continuing to serve the Coleman Campus students, staff, and families!

Instructional Coach
Jarrian Banks, M.Ed.
Email Jarrian BanksWith a diverse background in corporate sales management, Jarrian Banks transitioned to education in 2018, bringing a unique perspective to her role as Instructional Coach. She earned her BSIS degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and has since made significant contributions to the field of education.
Banks led the ELAR department at Cleveland High School through post-COVID transitions, implementing systems and best practices that drove student growth and increased the campus score to a B rating with distinctions in ELAR. During her time at Humble ISD, she taught English, ran the journalism program, and mentored student and staff leaders. She aims to advance educational leadership by driving instructional excellence and supporting teachers in their professional development.
Banks's approach is fueled by her personal experience of overcoming obstacles and embracing potential. She is dedicated to helping educators break through barriers and achieve excellence. Her expertise includes creating engaging, standards-aligned instructional strategies, fostering a collaborative environment, and utilizing data-driven practices for effective classroom management and strategic planning.
Active in various committees, including Campus Improvement and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, Banks has been instrumental in enhancing campus performance and earning state distinctions. Her commitment extends to community outreach through her volunteer work with Reach One Teach One – Cleveland Branch. Banks's passion for education lies in equipping teachers with the tools and strategies needed to make a profound impact on student learning experiences.
